SMOKE-FREE ZONE : MALAYSIA OFFICIALLY BAN SMOKING NATIONWIDE FROM JANUARY 2019

FaktaSmoke-Free Zone : Malaysia Officially Ban Smoking Nationwide
            From January 2019

Do you often get annoyed by others blowing secondhand smoke in your face at mamak stalls? Well, that will soon be a thing of the past because the government has just announced that starting 1 January 2019, all open-air eateries will be gazetted as no-smoking zones. It’s confirmed!

According to The Star press, Deputy Health Minister Lee Boon Chye said that starting next year, all restaurants will be gazetted as non-smoking areas, regardless of whether it’s an air-conditioned restaurant or open-air hawker centre.

The ban will cover all air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned restaurants, coffee shops, open-air hawker centers and street stalls.

The gazettement was not only to encourage smokers to kick the habit, but also to protect non-smokers from second-hand smoke due to tobacco products.

The current Control of Tobacco Product (Amendment) Regulations 2017 prohibits smoking in 21 areas including hospitals, public toilets, lifts, government premises as well as air-conditioned shops and offices. Others include parks and government premises.

“If members of the public are found smoking in these no-smoking areas, (they) will face up to RM10,000 fine or be jailed for not more than 2 years. Business owners who don’t implement this policy will be fined RM2,500,” Dr Lee said.

Finally, i believed that this is the right thing to do if we want to protect our children and younger generation from the bad effects of smoking. For parents, they don’t want they children and grandchildren growing up inhaling secondhand smoke or feeling normal seeing someone puffing away.

DISTRIBUTED BIBLE TO STUDENTS GET ATTENTION OF MANY PARTIES

STORY l Distributed Bible To Students Get Attention Of Many Parties

Recently, we have new issue in religious when a man distributed bibles to student at Bukit Mertajam High School.

Photographs of the foreigners loitering in the area went viral on social media. On friday, last week 2 November 2018, raising concern among the people.

It was understood that several men were spotted distributing the book at the main and back gates of the school.

The incident went viral after some of the parents uploaded the contents of the book on social media.

The devotional book titled ‘Rhapsody of Realities’ by Chris Oyakhilome contains verses from the Bible.

According to a Facebook post by Penang Kini, an Muslim was approached by the group but he refused to take the book, saying he was a Muslim.

Despite that, the group tried to persuade him by saying that it could even be read by Muslims.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa, in confirming by dated 7 Nov 2018, said his department was also getting more details on the incident.

Mujahid said so far, he had been briefed by the Penang state Islamic Religious Council (MAINPP), Penang State Education Department and the Bukit Mertajam Department of Parliament on the matter.

It was reported that police had received three reports from two non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and parents of a student.

8 Nov 2018 - Today, i'm still follow this issue when six non-governmental organisations (NGO) lodged a police report on allegations that Bibles were distributed to students.

The report was jointly made at the Sentul district police headquarters by Pertubuhan Martabat Jalinan Muhibbah Malaysia (MJMM), Ikatan Rakyat Insan Muslim Malaysia (IRIMM), Amanah Rahsia Cekal (ARC), Gerak Kerja Gabungan Ayahanda Selangor (Gegas), Reformis and Kipidap

Meanwhile, MJMM president Abdul Rani Kulup Abdullah said the act of distributing the Bibles was rude and disrespectful of the Muslim community in Malaysia.

"They were allegedly distributing dictionaries, but turns out the books were Bibles. The authorities must take stern action against this sensitive matter," he said.

Based on my opinion, when i refer in Article 11 (4), freedom of religion ;
"State law and in respect of the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya, federal law may control or restrict the propagation of any religious doctrine or belief among persons professing the religion of Islam"
What i means is, who parties distribute article, book or other source to Muslim religion, an offense under article 11(4) in Federal Constitution.

Malaysian still recognizes freedom of other religions to practice what they believe. The limit of freedom, they cannot teach what they believe or trust in they religion to Islam religion.

If the person breaking the limit, means that the person already breaking the law and can be into the jail.

Finally, Malaysia is a multicultural and multiconfessional country, whose official religion is Islam in Malaysian. Malaysian also have many race, religious, ethic, and language. What we can do is, respect other religion or what they believe.

HOMELESSNESS SOCIETY IN JOHOR BAHRU

STORY l Homelessness Society in Johor Bahru

Hi everyone, society want we can classification is people around us. In life, Allah give us journey how we survive until we get want we want. Allah not give us challenge without ability ourselves. This is fact we must trust to Allah, every plan he give to us, his have reason "why".

Why i highlights this topic in my blog because, i want all citizen know and gratitude they life compared this circle community. Sometimes, People can become homeless for many reasons and the effects of homelessness can be devastating.

Homelessness is the circumstance when people are without a permanent dwelling, such as a house or apartment. People who are homeless are most often unable to acquire and maintain regular, safe, secure and adequate housing.

In Malaysian, we have welfare department to care our Malaysian citizen. But, sometimes this circle community they don't want stay welfare centre.

Recently, i and my friend and also invite who does want join us to do this charity for homeless, we encourage who can join us. What we do is not support them as homeless but want we do is as human.  I believed that, not only our team to help the homeless for encourage, but this is a learning process as "human".

I'm also believe the existence of hierarchy classes that is not Kifarah, but that is learning process to us as human, how we attract them in real.

Trust me, most of the people in the world, they want in they life as a part of perfect jourey. Atleast they have car, house, family. but, not all people can do as "Seorang jalanan".

Thankful for those participate and donations for our charity to get closed this circle society.  Alhamdulillah, for the donation given we distribute fried rice, mineral water, air kotak laici, muffin pisang, and gardenia bread to homelessness.

Main area we focusing is JB town and larkin area. Where we can find them around 12am until in the morning. Yaa, mybe they scared our police goverment to catch them. hehe

Previously, i'm always involved for distribute in Chowkit area, what i can compared both of this town is different number of children. In JB, i'm only can see the children around 4 until 5 person. But, in Chowkit town the children most over 40, that what we can see, other place ? mybe more than that.

Most countries provide a variety of services to assist homeless people. These services often provide food, shelter (beds) and clothing and may be organized and run by community organizations (often with the help of volunteers) or by government departments or agencies.

Finally, we hope the homelessness get attention our the government, organisation group, and individual donors especially "Children or Baby". People who are homeless may have additional conditions, such as physical or mental health issues or substance addiction, these issues make resolving homelessness a challenging policy issue.
